We are proud to share two open calls that are focused on a specific groups of artists. The call for Estonian artists is for those who enjoy spending time with school kids. The deadline is on the 25th of February. The second call is for Ukrainian artists to participate in residencies all over Estonia, and that finishes on 28th of February.

The 9th Artishok Biennial, taking place from 20 February to April 20, will once again bring together ten artists and ten writers to kindle both the art field and art writing. This time the selection of participants is more locally focused, but the event itself offers a broader scope, presenting more time to engage with the works as well as greater diversity in the art-activated sites.

The 9th Artishok Biennial will launch in February 2025! Last held in 2022, the major contemporary art event connecting artists and writers, will be titled Siesta for its current edition curated by Brigit Arop and Margit Säde. The openings of ten new artworks will take place sporadically throughout February and March at various locations in Tallinn.

OpenArt is a public art biennial with the next exhibition taking place from June to September 2026 in the city center of Örebro, Sweden.

Contemporary artworks will be displayed outdoors and available for public interaction day and night. OpenArt aims to exhibit artists working in a wide variety of art mediums and techniques. We are looking for artists who are interested in exploring the connection between art and public space.
