Rüki residency was created with the aim of offering creative people the opportunity to conduct their own artistic practices in the atmospheric Old Town of Viljandi, thereby bringing change to one’s daily routine.
Narva Art Residency is announcing its open call for residencies in 2024. This time we offer about a dozen residencies in the main programme and 3 funded places for creating public space installations in the European-Russian border city of Narva. Deadline is on 30 September.
We are now seeking proposals for solo and curatorial exhibitions, performances and events. Submission deadline is October 11. Please include all the required materials in the e-mail attachment as a zip-file. Send your proposals to eka.galerii@artun.ee.

The fifth issue of A Shade Colder, Flesh in Tension is now available online. The new issue features texts on work, gender, performance, stereotypes, architecture and disability with textual and visual contributions by Airi Triisberg, Zody Burke, Heneliis Notton, Marge Monko, Ingrid Ruudi, Kaarin Kivirähk and nick von kleist.

Read an interview with the artist Andrew McPhail, who resides in Tallinn this fall as part of the Nordic Artist Exchange program.
“In Tallinn I’m hoping to connect with the arts community and help to create links between them and artists here in Hamilton,” McPhail tells me.
The exchange is made possible through Hamilton’s Cotton Factory, the Hamilton Arts Council and Esti Kunstnike, that is, the Estonian Artists’ Association.“
There are a few last-minute vacancies at the Narva Art Residency. Again we are offering them as mini-residencies so that different creative people get to know Narva and the creative center. It worked out last time quite well, so why not repeat it?
